Sales Specialist - Overview:

The Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities. This role requires a passionate individual with a deep understanding of the RC car market, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.

Sales Specialist - Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities within the RC car market.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth. Provide insights and recommendations to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of Associated Electrics, Inc.'s product offerings and industry trends to effectively communicate product benefits and features to customers.
  • Sales Strategies: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team to optimize sales processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Work closely with the customer service team to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, performance analysis, and market feedback. Present findings to the Sales Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Represent Associated Electrics, Inc. at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings. Promote products and build brand awareness through effective presentations and demonstrations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the RC car industry or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Position Overview:

The Project Specialist will support the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within Associated Electrics, Inc. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong communication skills and a knack for problem-solving. The Project Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with various departments to allocate resources effectively and ensure project needs are met.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably within the RC car industry or a related field.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.

Purchasing Agent

Associated Electrics, Inc. of Lake Forest, CA is one of the world's leading manufacturers of radio-controlled cars, trucks, and accessories. The company is often referred to as Team Associated.

Role Overview:

Associated Electrics, Inc. is in search of an experienced Purchasing Agent to oversee our purchasing operations. This role requires a detailed and organized approach to analyze open purchase orders and anticipated deliveries, as well as predicting future needs, using the appropriate lead times for multiple suppliers. Exceptional communication and organization skills required.

Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing development of profitable purchasing strategies
  • Monitor inventory levels, noting trends and product lifecycles
  • Work with sales team to reduce inventory overages
  • Prepare purchase orders to maintain reasonable inventory levels for 4000+ SKU’s
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor open purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries
  • Negotiate minimum order quantities, delivery timelines
  • Receive, validate and process vendor invoices
  • Resolve shipment errors or shipment variances with suppliers
  • Authorize payment for purchases, inclusive of receiving documentation
  • Prepare and submit reports to accounting and management
  • Maintain current and organized records
  • Assist in annual inventory audits

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Proficient with MS Excel and an ERP software, specifically Sage 100 ERP, is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years purchasing experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proven track record of creating and utilizing analysis to guide purchasing decisions and establishing best practices.
  • Exceptional and clear communication both internally and externally is a must
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Good work ethic and team player
  • Eager to learn and improve processes
  • Independent / Self-starter
